Doing Good, While Doing Well.
Tanya Gay Wood, a former vice president of Integrated Business Information Systems Inc. (IBIS) and the late spouse of its founder
Stanley E. Wood, contracted progressive systemic sclerosis or scleroderma at the age of fifteen. However, because of her indomitable
spirit, she spent the next twenty-six years of her life learning to live with the disease, while helping others to do the same. Tanya
also supported efforts to find a cure.
Tanya physically succumbed to the disease on July 27, 2003. Nevertheless, her spirit and the
spirits of others, who likewise endured the challenges of scleroderma, inspired the creation of the Tanya G. Wood Foundation. Its
mission is to help those currently living with the disease and to work for a cure.
On April 28, 2008 IBIS announced its charitable
support of the Tanya G. Wood Foundation to help eradicate scleroderma. According to Stanley E. Wood, President of IBIS, "The Tanya
G. Wood Foundation represents the continuous commitment of IBIS to do good while doing well".
